After a day of battling with iTunes and my wiped out iPhone on Friday, I needed a good run to change the energy. I did manage to bring my iPhone back from the dead, but it cost me a little sleep to do so. At least I had my music back!

Today it was cloudy and just snotty looking outside. Normally this would be some good sleeping in weather, but I had to get out to the lake and run. I cannot miss my long runs; it is what builds my distance base that is needed for my ultimate goal – 26.2 miles.

I started my run at a different spot at the lake, so I would get the hill off of Garland Rd over with right off the bat. I had this to contend with at the end of my run last week, and even though I made it, it was not the most pleasant part of my trek.

Today I changed things up a bit for my Thursday 3 mile run. I wanted to sleep in a little, so I nixed the early morning run. I had a chance to get a last minute hair appointment for a very much needed haircut, so my lunchtime run was canceled. I had one last chance to get my run in, and that was after work.

On my drive home I decided to run the Katy Trail. I would have run in my neighborhood, but there was too much of a chance that I would get distracted with the goings-on at the house. I didn’t want anything else possibly derailing my run.

Bodybugg Stats for 6/30/10

Okay so even though I ate a little more yesterday, I still was way over my deficit. Running sure torches the calories!!! I guess that I still need to tweak my eating a little more.

Not that I am complaining!

MapMyRun Stats for 6/30/10

Today was my 4-miler day.  I set my alarm to wake me up EARLY this morning.  I knew that I would have to run before work to get in the miles.  Running four miles in 45 minutes, during lunch, would have been pushing it for me; my running speed is not that fast, so I need to work within my limits.

I took care of my morning chores; feeding the animals, making coffee to put in my thermos, then threw on my running clothes to dash out the door.  I didn’t feel like running in the ‘hood for some reason, and actually considered hitting the treadmill again.  My left foot felt a little tight and tender, so the treadmill did look like the best option at first.  My plan was to run at the gym by my office, then to use the company shower to get de-funked for work.

On my drive in, I changed my mind.  I opted to run around the neighborhood by work instead.  My foot felt better; probably was not awake yet, and I really wanted to do pavement running as much as possible.  I parked, put my work clothes into my locker, and headed out to run.  The temperature was PERFECT; just a little bit if a chill to it.
